- טַנְדּוּ, טַן דּוּ(= טְעַן דֵּו, v. דֵּיו; cmp. טוּנָא I) adv. with a load of grief, in trouble. Targ. Job 17:16 (Regia כַנְדִּי; h. text בַּדֵּי).Kidd.7a, a. fr. טב למיתב ט׳ מלמיתב ארמלא Ar. led. טן דו) it is better to dwell in grief than to dwell in widowhood, i. e. a woman prefers an unhappy married life to singleness.
